The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Muttaqha Rabe Darma, has said members of the Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) Group in Katsina State are committed to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Darma made the statement on Sunday during the inauguration of the Katsina State Coordination Committee of the A4A Group.

According to the minister, the organisation was established to mobilise support for the Tinubu administration and communicate the Federal Government’s projects, policies and interventions to communities across Northern Nigeria.

He said the initiative was conceived by prominent Nigerians, including the National Security Adviser, former governors, ministers and former government officials.

Darma explained that A4A would document Federal Government projects across the northern region and take information about the administration’s activities directly to residents.

Katsina Committee Inaugurated

The minister, who also serves as chairman of the Katsina State Coordination Committee, said the primary purpose of Sunday’s gathering was to formally inaugurate the committee.

The committee comprises selected individuals from Katsina State and is expected to coordinate the organisation’s activities as it mobilises support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Darma said the group would subsequently expand its activities to other parts of Northern Nigeria to highlight what it considers the achievements and interventions of the Tinubu administration.

The minister’s statement comes as political groups across the country continue to mobilise support and build structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
