Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has approved the appointment of 11 successful officers as Permanent Secretaries in the state public service.

The appointments followed the conclusion of the 2026 Permanent Secretary Selection Exercise.

The development was announced in a press release dated September 19, 2026, and signed by Adaeze Ralph Igbokwe on behalf of the Head of Service.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Uwaoma Ajike, Rollingstone Frances Ogechi, Okoro Precious Uma, Nwaogwugwu Peace C., Uwajimgba Vincent Uchechukwu, Jackson Sunday Onyebuchi, Ukpabi Ngozi Juliet, Chinyere Josephine Kanno, Egesie Ijeoma Michelle, Ogugbue Kelechi Stella, and Chukwuma Thelma Ijeoma.

The statement added that details of the swearing-in ceremony for the new Permanent Secretaries would be communicated at a later date.

The appointments mark a new development in the leadership structure of the Abia State Public Service.
