A 36-year-old woman, Anulika Onyeanusia, who was arrested over the alleged sexual exploitation of her eight-year-old daughter, has reportedly admitted making money by sharing explicit videos involving the child on social media.

During an interrogation at what appeared to be a police facility, Onyeanusia allegedly disclosed that the highest amount she received from the videos was $700.

She reportedly said she initially sent an explicit video involving her daughter to a foreign man through WhatsApp, after which he allegedly sent her money in dollars.

When asked how much she received from the man, the suspect reportedly said she sometimes received $300 and, on other occasions, $400.

The interrogation was conducted by Anambra-based comedian and content creator, Valentine Obinwanne, popularly known as Onye Obodo.

Confronting the suspect over the alleged exploitation, the content creator questioned why she would subject her daughter to such treatment for financial gain.

Onye Obodo reportedly told the woman that he was at the facility to condemn her alleged actions, as others present also expressed outrage over the allegations.

The suspect, however, reportedly claimed that she had seen other Nigerian women engaging in similar activities on social media.

The case has continued to attract condemnation, with concerns raised over the protection of children from sexual exploitation and abuse. Authorities are expected to investigate the allegations and determine the appropriate legal action.
