Nigerian influencer and entrepreneur, Waris Olayinka Akinwande, popularly known as Ola of Lagos, has revealed why he continues to live in a rented apartment despite owning multiple houses.
Speaking during a recent episode of The KK Show, Ola said he has never spent a night in any house he purchased with his own money.
According to him, living in a house he owns could make him too comfortable and reduce his drive to work harder.
The luxury influencer explained that paying rent serves as a constant motivation to keep pushing himself financially and professionally.
Ola disclosed that he currently pays ₦50 million annually in rent, describing the financial obligation as a form of motivation.
“I have never slept in any house I bought with my own money. If you do, you will become too relaxed. Despite being in a beautiful estate, I still live in rented apartments and pay rent. When I pay ₦50 million a year, I use that pain to keep grinding harder,” he said.
