The Abia State Police Command has arrested a 28-year-old man, Ugochukwu Precious, of Umuohia, Ogbor Hill, Aba, over alleged involvement in violent criminal activities, cultism and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The arrest followed a report received by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Aba North, on September 22, 2026, concerning an alleged dispute over an iPhone 17 Pro Max.

According to the police, the suspect allegedly obtained the phone on a payment-on-delivery arrangement in April 2026 but failed to make payment. The situation reportedly escalated when he allegedly resorted to using thugs and threats against the seller.

Acting on intelligence gathered during the investigation, operatives of the RRS, Abia State Command, arrested the suspect. Police said he made confessional statements in connection with the allegations.
