Nigeria’s Inflation Rate Falls Further to 15.43%

Nigeria’s headline inflation rate declined further to 15.43% in July 2026, down from 15.91% in June, according to the latest Consumer Price Index report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The figures indicate a 0.48 percentage-point decline in the headline inflation rate between June and July.

According to the NBS, month-on-month headline inflation stood at 1.57% in July.

Food inflation, meanwhile, was recorded at 5.56% month-on-month during the period.

The latest decline marks another reduction in Nigeria’s headline inflation rate, although consumers may continue to feel pressure from the overall cost of food and other essential goods and services.
