President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has condoled with Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan following the death of her husband, Hafidh Ameir Hassan.
In a condolence message, Tinubu described the late Hafidh as a devoted life partner who stood by President Samia for nearly five decades, supporting her through various stages of her public service and national leadership.
The Nigerian President said the death would be a profound loss to President Samia, her children and the entire Hassan family, noting that the deceased was a major pillar of the family.
Tinubu, on behalf of the Federal Government and people of Nigeria, as well as his family, extended his heartfelt condolences to President Samia, her children, the Hassan family and the people of Tanzania.
He said Nigeria shares Tanzania’s grief and stands in solidarity with President Samia and her family during the difficult period.
Tinubu also prayed that Almighty Allah grant Hafidh Ameir Hassan eternal rest and give his family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
