President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after spending four weeks in Europe on a working holiday.

The President arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Tuesday evening after departing Paris, France, earlier in the day.

According to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu chose to return through Lagos to honour the memory of the late Chief MKO Abiola, a prominent figure in Nigeria’s democratic struggle.

The President is expected to attend the premiere of a movie celebrating Abiola on Independence Day.

The event will take place at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos, and will commemorate Abiola, who won the June 12, 1993 presidential election.
