Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele has identified three players he believes are among the leading contenders for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

The reigning Ballon d’Or winner named PSG teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé among his top three choices.

Dembele made the comments in an interview with French sports newspaper L’Equipe ahead of the official announcement of the 2026 Ballon d’Or nominees on Tuesday.

The French international also expressed confidence that the prestigious individual award would remain at PSG, suggesting that another player from the club could claim the prize.

“I do not think there is any doubt about this award. I think it will remain in the hands of a Paris Saint-Germain player,” Dembele said.

Asked to name the three best players in the world without ranking them, Dembele selected Kvaratskhelia, Kane and Mbappé.

“Kvaratskhelia and Harry Kane, who had a very, very good season, and I think Kylian Mbappé,” he said.

The announcement of the official nominees is expected to provide a clearer picture of the leading candidates for this year’s award.
