The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned President Bola Tinubu to address the concerns of Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying failure to do so could threaten his chances of retaining power.

Ayodele, in a statement issued on Tuesday by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, said Nigerians could use the 2027 polls to express their dissatisfaction with the Tinubu administration.

According to him, the president should not assume that all is well in the country, as public anger and grievances could influence voting patterns during the election.

The cleric also accused some individuals around Tinubu of misleading him into believing that his administration was performing well, alleging that some of them were more interested in benefiting financially from their proximity to the president.

Ayodele further warned that politicians who fail to secure their preferred party tickets could eventually turn against Tinubu and work to frustrate his re-election bid.

He said the president could lose the 2027 election if he failed to carefully manage the political situation.

The prophet also identified former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other opposition figures as potential forces capable of mounting a strong challenge against Tinubu if they successfully form a coalition.

He stated that an opposition alliance involving Atiku and other political actors could defeat the president, regardless of the political strength surrounding him.

Ayodele equally cautioned Tinubu against relying on alleged plans to manipulate the electoral process, insisting that Nigerians would resist any attempt to impose an election outcome against their will.

He predicted that the 2027 election would be highly competitive and urged the president and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to focus on addressing the concerns of Nigerians.

The cleric maintained that efforts to secure victory through means other than genuine votes could fail, stressing that the government needed to regain the confidence of the people before the next general election.
